DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY

Event: The Union Program Council will present violinist Natalie Stovall in a performance in the Delta and Pine Land Theatre of the Bologna Performing Arts Center.

MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY

Event: Mississippi State's communities and organizations class in the department of social work program will organize "Hunger Strike," a charity concert to aid local food pantry groups. The benefit will feature a variety of MSU talent, including the Black Voices Choir, Generation 6:20 and the Zack Logan Band.

MISSISSIPPI UNIVERSITY FOR WOMEN

Event: Operation: Wild Kids (5th-12th graders) will emphasize wildlife biology and ecology. Much of this workshop will be covered in the context of early American pioneers and fur trappers/traders. It will integrate a historical perspective and provide evidence of how humans can impact natural systems. Event: Mississippi Valley State University's Department of Communication is presenting a series of theatrical works during April. The “Freshman Experience,” a one-act dramatic play by MVSU student Jerome Petty will be performed Tuesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 15; “Livin’ Fat,” a two-act comedy by Judi Ann Mason will be featured on Wednesday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 13; and “The Committee Meeting,” a one-act comedy by Joellen K. Event: The Big Event is a university-wide community service project showcasing the university’s commitment to southern Mississippi through volunteerism. Service projects will be initiated throughout the year and will range from repairing and building homes to community beautification projects. UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI GULF PARK CAMPUS

Event: The Big Event is a university-wide community service project showcasing the university’s commitment to the Gulf Coast through volunteerism. Southern Miss Gulf Coast has partnered with the local Habitat for Humanity chapter to assist in the building of a home for a very deserving Gulf Coast family. The Big Event is designed to be the largest community service project in Southern Miss history.
