On Tuesday, May 26, 2009, the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) Search Committees for the next commissioner of higher education and the next chancellor of the University of Mississippi will meet separately via teleconference for the purpose of hearing results of candidate background and reference checks.
The Commissioner Board Search Committee will meet at 1:00 p.m. The public may attend the meeting in the IHL Board Room in the Universities Center, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS 39211.
The Chancellor Board Search Committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. The public may attend the meeting in one of the following locations:
- Lyceum Room 308 on the University of Mississippi Campus, 1848 University Circle, University, MS 38677
- IHL Board Room in the Universities Center, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS 39211
For both meetings, an executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
