The Special Task Force for the Revitalization of the Delta Region, a group formed by the 2006 Mississippi Legislatures House Bill 1034, will soon begin holding public meetings in the Delta Region. Per the legislation, 18 counties make up the revitalization area; specifically the counties of Tunica, Panola, Coahoma, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Bolivar, Leflore, Sunflower, Washington, Humphreys, Carroll, Holmes, Sharkey, Yazoo, Issaquena, Warren, Claiborne and Jefferson.
