| 7/6/2006 - Jackson, Miss.
In its mission to develop a long range economic development "Plan of Action" to revitalize the Mississippi Delta, the Special Task Force for the Revitalization of the Delta Region, created by HB 1034 and signed into law in 2006, will provide opportunities for all Delta residents to have a voice in the planning process. As a part of the process, the Special Task Force will conduct public hearings to obtain the views of residents on the development needs of the Delta Region.
The Plan of Action will be completed by December, 2006 and systematically implemented over the next three years.
Public hearings will be held throughout the Delta region at various times and locations. Reservations are not required and citizens may attend as many hearings as they choose.
