BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO MEET NEXT WEEK

The Finance Committee, a standing committee of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning chaired by Trustee Alan Perry, will meet at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 to discuss system finance issues. The Academic Affairs Committee, a standing committee chaired by Trustee Robin Robinson, will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 to discuss system academic issues. The Health Affairs Committee, chaired by Trustee Aubrey Patterson, will meet at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 for a work session. Members of the Board may participate in the committee meetings via teleconference. The public may attend the meetings at the JSU E-Center California Room, 1230 Raymond Road in Jackson. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

The Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, October 17, 2013, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference. The Board and public may attend the meeting in the Jackson State University New Student Center, Ballroom A and B, 1400 Lynch Street in Jackson. An Executive Session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act. The Academic Affairs Committee, a standing committee of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning chaired by Trustee Robin Robinson, will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in the JSU New Student Center, room 3210. There will be a joint meeting of the Finance Committee, a standing committee chaired by Trustee Alan Perry, and the Real Estate Committee, a standing committee chaired by Trustee Hal Parker. The joint meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in the JSU New Student Center, room 3241. The committees will meet to discuss issues related to the successes, needs and opportunities in each area at Jackson State University.
