Chip Morgan

Mr. Chip Morgan was appointed to the Board by Governor Phil Bryant in May 2015 to represent the First (Central) Supreme Court District for a term to expire May 7, 2024.

Morgan served as executive vice president of Delta Council from 1982 until his retirement in 2018. In this role, he developed strategies and provided input from Delta Council on national farm policy, state four-lane highway legislation, flood control and the issues related to rural health care disparities. During Morgan's 44 years at Delta Council, the organization expanded its role in the Delta to include improvement of access to health care and funding for higher education, developed a plan for funding an adult literacy program, successfully led efforts to address critical teacher shortages and develop a higher education curriculum to train 21st Century high school administrators. Morgan holds a bachelor's degree in public administration from the University of Mississippi.
