SMART Business Act Tax Rebate Application
The Strengthening Mississippi Academic Research Through Business Act is intended to meet the following goals: stimulate private investment in research and development; increase the competitiveness of Mississippi companies; and improve the economy of the State of Mississippi.
 
Governor's Teacher Education Scholars Program
The program was created to encourage high-achieving high school graduates to pursue a career in teaching. Awards amounting to $15,000 annually will be made to students with a 3.5 GPA and 28 ACT seeking a bachelor's degree in teacher education.
 
 
The 2014-2015 Higher Education Appreciation Day will take place on February 17, 2015 at the Jackson Marriott Hotel. HEADWAE was established to honor the academically talented students and faculty members of Mississippi's higher education institutions.
 
Distance Learning - Online Degree Programs
For those students interested in acquiring a college degree from a state of Mississippi higher education institution, Mississippi has a number of distance learning opportunities and options available.
 
Mississippi Commission on College Accreditation
The MCCA has statutory authority and duty to approve all colleges and universities or other entities that offer one or more postsecondary academic degrees and are domiciled, incorporated or otherwise located in the State of Mississippi.
